Use this option to make sure the version of SWF.max you are using is the latest. Click   Help    Check for Updates   menu to perform a check right now.

Checking for Updates requires having an active Internet Connection. SWF.max connects to www.SWFmax.com to retrieve information about the newest version available. If there is a newer version, "Download" button will appear. Click it to start downloading a new SWF.max. If you wish to review the list of changes between your current SWF.max version and the newest one, then click a button with an arrow to show the Details. If you click "Cancel" while an update is available, you will be asked if you wish to be reminded of this particular update.
